Your first appointment is a chance to meet your practitioner and explore what might have brought you to our clinic. During your initial assessment, your practitioner will review your health history, identify your goals, perform a thorough physical exam, provide treatment, and create a plan to help you reach your goals. Plans may include take home exercises and suggestions for other modalities Antidote offers to improve your wellbeing.
-
If you have any diagnostic test results that may help your practitioner better understand your concerns, please feel free to bring them to your appointment.
We suggest that you bring or come dressed in clothing that you can easily move around in and that will allow your practitioner to visualize the area being treated.
-
Referrals from your primary care provider are not necessary but are welcomed.
As a boutique healthcare clinic, we are unfortunately not covered by OHIP. Please check with your insurance provider regarding the need for a referral for proper coverage of your health benefits plan.
You may also use your receipts towards your tax return as a medical expense.

Should you need to cancel or change your appointment time we kindly request that you provide us with 48 hours' notice.
Any appointment either canceled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours’ notice before the appointment start time will be billed 100% of the fee.
Cancellation fees will be billed directly to the credit card on your account, and a receipt sent by email. Cancellation fees are not eligible for direct billing or covered by insurance.
We understand that sometimes circumstances come up that are outside of our control. However, last minute cancellations impact the therapists and our ability to make the time available to our clients on wait lists/looking for a sooner appointment. As a result, our policy applies for all clients and cancellation reasons including illness and weather related cancellations.
The good news? If you can fill the spot, or if we can fill the spot with someone on our waitlist we will waive the fee! Ie. Think of your treatment like a concert ticket. Is there a family member or friend that could take your appointment time?

We currently accept all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard and Amex), as well as Debit and Cash. Please note we are not able to give change at this time but any extra value given above your appointment cost will be added to your account as a credit and can be used toward your next appointment, workshop or for the boutique.
